न हि मे सम्प्रयातस्य त्वामितो नयतोऽङ्गने।अनुगन्तुं गतिं शक्तास्सर्वे लङ्कानिवासिनः।।।।
na hi me samprayātasya tvām ito nayato 'ṅgane |
anugantuṃ gatiṃ śaktāḥ sarve laṅkānivāsinaḥ ||
O marikit na ginang, kapag ako’y lumisan na dala ka mula rito, kahit magsama-sama pa ang lahat ng naninirahan sa Laṅkā, hindi nila masusundan ang aking landas ni matatapatan ang aking bilis.
"O beautiful lady! it is not possible for all the inhabitants of Lanka together to follow me while I carry you from this place.
Dharma includes providing refuge (śaraṇāgati) and removing fear: Hanumān uses truthful assurance to protect Sītā’s life and dignity.
