Paulit-ulit niyang idiniin sa dibdib ang pinakamainam na mga alahas; at siya’y huminga nang mabigat—gaya ng galít na ahas na nakapulupot sa loob ng lungga.
Pressing the excellent ornaments to his bosom again and again Rama hissed like a cobra provoked in its anthill.
Dharma here is shown indirectly: Rama’s steadfast marital fidelity and responsibility make Sita’s loss unbearable; righteous love is not casual attachment but a duty-bound bond.
Rama holds the recovered ornaments believed to be Sita’s and is overwhelmed with grief and anger.
Rama’s unwavering devotion and protective resolve toward Sita, even amid intense emotional turmoil.
