Mobilization and Counsel on Kingship
एतेत्युच्चैर्हरिवरान्सुग्रीवस्समुदाहरत्।तस्य तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा हरयश्शीघ्रमाययुः।।4.38.7।।बद्धाञ्जलिपुटास्सर्वे ये स्युः स्त्रीदर्शनक्षमाः।
etety uccair hari-varān sugrīvaḥ samudāharat | tasya tad-vacanaṃ śrutvā harayaḥ śīghram āyayuḥ ||4.38.7|| baddhāñjali-puṭāḥ sarve ye syuḥ strī-darśana-kṣamāḥ |
Sumigaw nang malakas si Sugrīva, “Halikayo rito!” at tinawag ang pinakamahuhusay na unggoy. Nang marinig ang kanyang salita, dali-daling dumating ang mga unggoy—lahat ay nakatiklop ang mga kamay—yaong karapat-dapat na humarap sa mga babae.
Then seeing the monkeys who had come there, king Sugriva who was shining like the Sun-god asked them to get a palanquin ready at once.
Dharma is social order and respect: the verse highlights disciplined conduct, reverence (folded hands), and adherence to royal boundaries of space and audience.
Sugrīva calls in select Vānara leaders; they arrive quickly and respectfully, following court protocol.
