किष्किन्धाकाण्डे षट्त्रिंशः सर्गः — सुग्रीवस्य भय-त्यागः, कृतज्ञता, तथा लक्ष्मणेन सान्त्वन-प्रेरणा
Sugriva’s Reassurance and Lakshmana’s Counsel
तस्मिन्प्रतिगृहीते तु वाक्ये हरिगणेश्वरः।लक्ष्मणात्सुमहत्त्रासं वस्त्रं क्लिन्नमिवात्यजत्।।।।
tasmin pratigṛhīte tu vākye harigaṇeśvaraḥ | lakṣmaṇāt sumahat trāsaṃ vastraṃ klinnam ivātyajat ||
Nang tanggapin ang mga salitang iyon, si Sugrīva—panginoon ng mga pangkat ng mga unggoy—ay itinapon ang matinding takot niya kay Lakṣmaṇa, na parang basang kasuotang inihuhubad.
'If I have committed even a little transgression in my faith in Rama or affection for him and exceeded the time limit, my mistakes are to be excused as one would pardons a servant. No one is flawless in the world.'
