Sugriva’s Account of Enmity and Appeal to Rama
'When Vali, the monkey, spoke that way I remained unperturbed. He banished me with the only cloth I was wearing.
The verse highlights adharma through unjust punishment and exile—power used without restraint against one who deserves protection, especially within family bonds.
Sugrīva recounts to Rāma how Vālī drove him out, leaving him with only a single garment.
Sugrīva’s endurance and truth-telling: he reports his suffering plainly to seek righteous redress rather than revenge.
