तीर-वर्णनम् / Rama’s Lament at Pampa and the Approach to Rishyamuka
तं मत्तमातङ्गविलासगामी गच्छन्तमव्यग्रमना महात्मा।स लक्ष्मणो राघवमप्रमत्तो ररक्ष धर्मेण बलेन चैव।।।।
taṃ mattamātaṅgavilāsagāmī gacchantaṃ avyagramanā mahātmā | sa lakṣmaṇo rāghavam apramatto rarakṣa dharmeṇa balena caiva ||
Habang si Rama’y nagpapatuloy—matatag ang diwa, kumikilos na may maringal na anyo na tila lasing na elepante—si Lakshmana, laging mapagbantay, ay nag-ingat kay Raghava sa dharma at sa lakas.
The great soul, Lakshmana, striding like a mighty elephant, with a steady mind, followed Rama dutifully, protecting him with his strength.
