Rāma Subdues Paraśurāma; the Vaiṣṇava Arrow Is Discharged
एते सुरगणास्सर्वे निरीक्षन्ते समागता:।त्वामप्रतिमकर्माणमप्रतिद्वन्द्वमाहवे।।।।
ete suragaṇāḥ sarve nirīkṣante samāgatāḥ | tvām apratimakarmāṇam apratidvandvam āhave ||
Ang lahat ng pulutong ng mga diyos na ito, nagkatipon dito, ay tumitingin sa iyo—na ang mga gawa’y walang kapantay at sa digmaan ay walang katunggali.
All your deeds are incomparable. You are unassailable in combat. All these hosts of gods have assembled here and are looking at you.
Dharma is accountable before the world: righteous excellence is ‘seen’ and affirmed, implying that virtue stands up to public and cosmic scrutiny.
Paraśurāma points out that the assembled gods are witnessing Rāma’s unmatched stature and deeds in this decisive moment.
Śaurya guided by dharma: invincibility is framed not as mere force, but as rightful excellence recognized by higher beings.
