सप्तदशः सर्गः — देवसंवादः तथा वानर-ऋक्ष-उत्पत्तिः

शिलाप्रहरणाः सर्वे सर्वे पादपयोधिनः ।
नखदंष्ट्रायुधाः सर्वे सर्वे सर्वास्त्रकोविदाः ॥
śilāpraharaṇāḥ sarve sarve pādapayodhinaḥ |
nakhadaṃṣṭrāyudhāḥ sarve sarve sarvāstrakovidāḥ ||
Lahat sila’y gumagamit ng bato bilang sandata sa pagpuksa, at lahat ay nakikipaglaban na tila mga punongkahoy ang kanilang hukbo. Lahat ay may mga kuko at matutulis na pangil bilang likás na sandata, at gayunman, lahat din ay bihasa sa sari-saring pana at sandatang inihahagis.
