Sarga 15: The Devas’ Petition, the Means to Slay Ravana, and Vishnu’s Commission to Incarnate as Man
कौसल्यायै नरपतिः पायसार्धं ददौ तदा । अर्धादर्धं ददौ चापि सुमित्रायै नराधिपः ॥
kausalyāyai narapatiḥ pāyasārdhaṃ dadau tadā | ardhādardhaṃ dadau cāpi sumitrāyai narādhipaḥ ||
Noon, ibinigay ng Hari ng mga Tao ang kalahati ng banal na pāyasa kay Kausalyā; at ang kalahati ng natira ay ibinigay din ng maharlikang pinuno kay Sumitrā.
This verse details the specific allocation of the divine nectar obtained from the Yajna. Kausalya receives half, indicating the primary status of her offspring, Rama, while Sumitra receives a portion of the remainder, highlighting the equitable distribution required by Dharma.
