पञ्चदशः सर्गः — देवकृत-प्रार्थना, रावणवधोपायः, विष्णोः मानुषावतारनियोजनम्

Sarga 15: The Devas’ Petition, the Means to Slay Ravana, and Vishnu’s Commission to Incarnate as Man

इष्टिं तेऽहं करिष्यामि पुत्रीयां पुत्रकारणात्।अथर्वशिरसि प्रोक्तैर्मन्त्रैस्सिद्धां विधानत:।।1.15.2।।

iṣṭiṃ te ’haṃ kariṣyāmi putrīyāṃ putrakāraṇāt |

atharvaśirasi proktair mantraiḥ siddhāṃ vidhānataḥ ||1.15.2||

Isasagawa ko para sa iyo ang Putrīyeṣṭi na yajña, upang magkamit ng mga anak na lalaki—ganap ayon sa wastong ritwal at pinatibay ng mga mantra na itinuro sa tradisyong Atharvaśiras.
