सुतीक्ष्णाश्रमप्रवेशः
Entry into Sutikshna’s Hermitage
तत्र तापसमासीनं मलपङ्कजटाधरम्।रामस्सुतीक्ष्णं विधिवत्तपोवृद्धमभाषत।।3.7.5।।
tatra tāpasam āsīnaṃ malapaṅka-jaṭādharam |
rāmaḥ sutīkṣṇaṃ vidhivat tapo-vṛddham abhāṣata || 3.7.5 ||
Doon, ayon sa wastong kaugalian, kinausap ni Rāma si Sutikṣṇa—ang asetikong nakaupo roon, may mga buhol-buhol na buhok na marumi sa alikabok at putik, at tumanda’t nahinog sa tindi ng tapasya.
Rama stopped with this. And then the evening drew to a close. Offering his evening oblation, he arranged for his stay along with Sita and Lakshmana in the delightful hermitage of Sutikshna.
Dharma appears as maryādā (propriety): even as a prince, Rāma approaches an ascetic with correct ritual respect and speech.
Rāma reaches Sutikṣṇa’s hermitage and begins the formal greeting and conversation.
Humility and reverence toward spiritually accomplished elders.
