Lakshmana Consoles Rama on Fate, Fortitude, and Right Action

नष्टायामपि वैदेह्यां हृतायामपि चानघशोचितुं नार्हसे वीर यथान्यः प्राकृतस्तथा।।3.66.13।।

Transliteration

naṣṭāyām api vaidehyāṃ hṛtāyām api cānagha |

śocituṃ nārhase vīra yathānyaḥ prākṛtas tathā || 3.66.13 ||

Translation

O walang dungis na bayani, kahit mawala si Vaidehī, o kahit siya’y maagaw, hindi ka nararapat magdalamhati na gaya ng karaniwang tao. Ang iyong dharma ay lakas ng loob at matuwid na pagkilos, hindi walang magawang panaghoy.
