The Search for Sita Begins
वित्रासयितुकामा वा लीना स्यात्कानने क्वचित्।जिज्ञासमाना वैदेही त्वां मां च पुरुषर्षभ।।।।तस्याह्यन्वेषणे श्रीमन् क्षिप्रमेव यतावहे।
vitrāsayitukāmā vā līnā syāt kānane kvacit |
jijñāsamānā vaidehī tvāṁ māṁ ca puruṣarṣabha ||3.61.17||
tasyā hy anveṣaṇe śrīman kṣipram eva yatāvahe |
O kaya si Vaidehī ay nagtatago sa kung saan sa kakahuyan, upang kami’y biglain—sinusubok ka at ako, O pinakadakila sa mga lalaki. Kaya, O mapalad, magsikap tayo agad sa paghahanap sa kanya.
