सीतावियोगे रामस्य विलापः
Rama’s Lament and Inquiry on Sita’s Disappearance
कच्चिज्जीवति वैदेहि प्राणैः प्रियतरा मम।कच्चित्प्रव्राजनं सौम्य न मे मिथ्या भविष्यति।।।।
kaccij jīvati vaidehī prāṇaiḥ priyatarā mama |
kaccit pravrājanaṃ saumya na me mithyā bhaviṣyati ||
O mahinahong Lakṣmaṇa, nabubuhay pa ba si Vaidehī, na higit na mahal sa akin kaysa sa sariling hininga? At hindi ba mauuwi sa walang saysay ang aking pagkatapon—na para bang naging kasinungalingan?
O gentle Lakshmana! I wonder if Vaidehi, who is dearer to me than my life is still alive!I hope my banishment from the kingdom is not going to prove false.
