सीताया रावणनिन्दा — अशोकवनिकाप्रवेशः
Sita’s Rebuke of Ravana; Removal to the Ashoka Grove
न ते पापमिदं कर्म शुखोदर्कं भविष्यति।याऽहं नीता विनाभावं पतिपार्श्वात्त्वया वने।।।।
na te pāpam idaṃ karma sukhodarkaṃ bhaviṣyati | yāhaṃ nītā vinābhāvaṃ patipārśvāt tvayā vane ||
Ang masamang gawaing ito ay hindi magwawakas sa ligaya. Ako’y dinala mo sa gubat, inagaw mula sa piling ng aking asawa, nang walang wastong paghatol ni pag-iingat.
This evil deed(of abduction) will not yield happy results.You have brought me from my husband from the forest without any forethought.
Adharma (sinful action) cannot yield true sukha (well-being). The verse teaches moral causality: wrongful means do not lead to auspicious ends.
After being abducted, Sītā confronts Rāvaṇa in the forest context and condemns the act of taking her away from Rāma.
Sītā’s steadfastness and moral clarity—she refuses to normalize wrongdoing and asserts the ethical consequences of adharma.
