Ravana Reveals Himself; Sita Affirms Rama’s Dharma
'O Rama, listen, your father has ordered that this kingdom be bestowed on Bharata without any obstacles.
Speech as a decisive moral force: ‘firm words’ here initiate a chain of duty-bound actions, showing how vows and commands shape dharma in royal life.
Rāma approaches Daśaratha for the coronation; Kaikeyī intercepts and addresses him with a determined demand.
Rāma’s readiness to face decisive turns in fate is implied; Kaikeyī’s firmness (dhṛta-vacaḥ) is foregrounded as the catalyst.
