Omens before Khara’s Assault
तस्मिन्याते बले घोरमशिवं शोणितोदकम्।अभ्यवर्षन्महामेघस्तुमुलो गर्दभारुणः।।।।
tasmin yāte bale ghoraṃ aśivaṃ śoṇitodakam |
abhyavarṣan mahāmeghas tumulo gardabhāruṇaḥ || 3.23.1 ||
Nang umusad ang kakila-kilabot na hukbong iyon, isang napakalaking ulap—maitim na tila kulay-asno—ang biglang sumambulat at nagpaulan ng nakapanghihilakbot, masamang pangitain: ulang mapula na parang dugo.
