इत्येता सरितो विप्राः समाख्याता यथास्मृति । अतऊर्द्ध्वं जनपदान्निबोध गदतो मम

ityetā sarito viprāḥ samākhyātā yathāsmṛti | ataūrddhvaṃ janapadānnibodha gadato mama

Sa gayon, O mga brāhmaṇa, ang mga ilog na ito’y inilarawan ayon sa alaala at sa banal na tradisyon. Mula rito pataas, unawain ninyo ang mga lupain at mga kaharian habang ako’y nagsasalita.
