Brahmin Right Conduct: Morning Remembrance, Bathing, Purification, and Tarpaṇa Method

विना मंत्रेण यत्स्नानं सर्वं तन्निष्फलं भवेत् । अमृतात्स्वादुतामेति संस्पर्शाच्च तिलस्य च

vinā maṃtreṇa yatsnānaṃ sarvaṃ tanniṣphalaṃ bhavet | amṛtātsvādutāmeti saṃsparśācca tilasya ca

Ang anumang pagligo na walang mantra ay nagiging lubos na walang bunga. Ngunit sa pagdampi ng linga (tilā), nagkakamit ito ng tamis—na wari’y amṛta, ang nektar.
