पार्थ च सुमहाबाहुर्महावेगैर्महारथ: । विव्याध निशितैर्बाणैर्मेघो वृष्टयेव पर्वतम्‌,जैसे मेघ पर्वतपर जलकी वर्षा करता है, उसी प्रकार महाबाहु महारथी द्रोण पृथापुत्र अर्जुनको अत्यन्त वेगशाली तीखे बाणोंद्वारा बींध रहे थे

Transliteration

pārthaṃ ca sumahābāhur mahāvegair mahārathaḥ | vivyādha niśitair bāṇair megho vṛṣṭyeva parvatam ||

Translation

Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Ang makapangyarihang mandirigmang maharatha ay tumuhog kay Pārtha (Arjuna) sa pamamagitan ng mga palasong matutulis at ubod-bilis—gaya ng ulap-ulan na bumubuhos sa isang bundok.
