प्राप्प भार्यामगस्त्यस्तु लोपामुद्रामभाषत । महाहण्युत्सूजैतानि वासांस्याभरणानि च,लोपामुद्राको पत्नीरूपमें पाकर महर्षि अगस्त्यने उससे कहा--'ये तुम्हारे वस्त्र और आभूषण बहुमूल्य हैं। इन्हें उतार दो”
prāpya bhāryām agastyas tu lopāmudrām abhāṣata | mahārhaṇy utsṛja etāni vāsāṁsy ābharaṇāni ca ||
Nang makuha ni Agastya si Lopāmudrā bilang asawa, sinabi niya sa kaniya: “Ang mga kasuotang ito at mga palamuti ay napakamahalaga; isantabi mo at alisin mo.”

After marrying Lopāmudrā, Agastya speaks to her and asks her to remove and set aside her precious clothes and jewelry, indicating his ascetic expectations within their married life.
