Educational Q&A

The verse presents flourishing beauty as a sign of auspicious, orderly development—like lotus growth in water and the sacred fire on an altar—suggesting that rightful care, purity, and dharmic surroundings enable a person to mature swiftly and well.

Lomaśa describes to the king how a princess rapidly grows in radiance and excellent beauty, using two vivid comparisons: a lotus spreading on water and a bright sacrificial flame rising on the altar.
