युधिष्ठिरस्य अर्जुनप्रेषण-युक्तिवर्णनम् | Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rationale for Sending Arjuna and Request to Dhaumya

ततश्च बाहुदां गच्छेद्‌ ब्रह्मचारी समाहित: । तत्रोष्य रजनीमेकां स्वर्गलोके महीयते,देवसत्रस्य यज्ञस्य फल प्राप्रोति कौरव | तदनन्तर बाहुदातीर्थमें जाय और ब्रह्मचर्यपालनपूर्वक एकाग्रचित्त हो वहाँ एक रात उपवास करे; इससे वह स्वर्गलोकमें प्रतिष्ठित होता है। कुरुनन्दन! उसे देवसत्रयज्ञका भी फल प्राप्त होता है

tataś ca bāhudāṁ gacched brahmacārī samāhitaḥ | tatroṣya rajanīm ekāṁ svargaloke mahīyate, devasatrasya yajñasya phalaṁ prāpnoti kaurava ||

Pagkaraan, ang nagsasagawa ng brahmacarya—may pagpipigil at matatag ang isip—ay dapat tumungo sa tīrtha ng Bāhudā. Kapag nanatili roon nang isang gabi (na may pag-aayuno at pag-iingat), siya’y pararangalan sa daigdig ng langit. O Kaurava, matatamo rin niya ang kabutihang bunga ng handog na Devasatra.
