Chapter 82

स्नात्वा कुरुवरश्रेष्ठ प्रयतात्मा समाहित: । तर्प्य देवान्‌ पितृश्चैव विष्णुलोके महीयते,कुरुश्रेष्ठ! वहाँ स्नान करके शुद्ध और समाहितचित्त होकर देवताओं और पितरोंका तर्पण करनेसे मनुष्य विष्णुलोकमें प्रतिष्ठित होता है

snātvā kuruvaraśreṣṭha prayatātmā samāhitaḥ | tarpya devān pitṝṃś caiva viṣṇuloke mahīyate ||

Sinabi ni Ghūlastya: “O pinakamainam sa mga Kuru, matapos maligo at luminis—mapagpigil sa sarili at may natipong isip—ang sinumang maghandog ng nararapat na tarpana sa mga diyos at sa mga ninuno ay pararangalan at matatatag sa daigdig ni Viṣṇu (Viṣṇuloka).”
