Educational Q&A

That disciplined conduct—especially regulated eating, self-control, purity, and contentment—can confer the same religious merit as major sacrifices when practiced at a sacred place, emphasizing inner discipline alongside ritual.

The speaker describes a tīrtha on the Carmaṇvatī River and states that one who goes there and observes restraint gains the fruit of the Agniṣṭoma sacrifice, associated with the approval/commendation of King Rantideva.
