तच्छुत्वा वचन तस्य सुदेवस्य विशाम्पते | सुनन्दा शोधयामास पिप्लुप्रच्छादनं मलम्,युधिष्ठिर! सुदेवका यह वचन सुनकर सुनन्दाने दमयन्तीके ललाटवर्ती चिह्नको ढँकनेवाली मैल धो दी
tac chrutvā vacanaṁ tasya sudevasya viśāmpate | sunandā śodhayāmāsa piplupra-cchādanaṁ malam, yudhiṣṭhira |
O panginoon ng bayan, nang marinig ang mga salita ni Sudeva, sinimulan ni Sunandā na linisin ang duming tumatakip sa tanda sa noo, upang ang tunay na pagkakakilanlan at dangal ay hindi na manatiling nakatago.
युदेव उवाच
Attentive listening and compassionate action can restore what is obscured—purity here signifies not only physical cleanliness but also the recovery of dignity and recognizable identity.
After hearing Sudeva’s words, Sunandā cleans away the dirt that was covering the identifying mark on the forehead, making the concealed sign visible again.
