Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Sañjaya on Arjuna’s Indraloka report and the political consequences
मृदुकुज्चितदीर्घेण कुमुदोक्तरधारिणा । केशहस्तेन ललना जगामाथ विराजती,उसके कोमल, घुँधराले और लम्बे केशोंका समूह वेणीके रूपमें आबद्ध था। उनमें कुमुद-पुष्पोंके गुच्छे लगे हुए थे। इस प्रकार सुशोभित वह ललना अर्जुनके गृहकी ओर बढ़ी जा रही थी
mṛdukuñcitadīrgheṇa kumudottaradhāriṇā | keśahastena lalanā jagāmātha virājatī ||
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Maringal at maningning na nagpatuloy ang dalaga—ang kanyang malambot, mahaba, at bahagyang kulot na buhok ay tinirintas at pinalamutian ng mga kumpol ng mapuputing bulaklak na kumuda. Sa gayong ayos, nagtungo siya sa tahanan ni Arjuna, na waring nagpapahiwatig ng sinadyang paglapit na nananatiling marangal, ayon sa pamantayan ng kahinhinan at kaayusang panlipunan.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse primarily offers aesthetic narration, but it implicitly reflects ideals of decorum: personal adornment and composed movement are presented as outward signs of modesty and intentional, socially appropriate conduct.
A radiant young woman, her long curled hair neatly arranged and decorated with white kumuda blossoms, proceeds onward—understood (from the contextual gloss) as moving toward Arjuna’s dwelling.
