Arjuna’s Himalayan Departure and the Commencement of Severe Tapas
Janamejaya’s Inquiry; Sages Approach Śiva
Excellence in one’s dharma is measured not only by strength but by steadfastness and disciplined action; when valor is joined with endurance and right intent, it becomes worthy of divine commendation.
Śiva (addressed as Bhava) directly praises Arjuna (Phālguna), expressing satisfaction with his incomparable deed and declaring him unequaled among kṣatriyas for his valor and firmness.
