Educational Q&A

Ethical restraint and humility precede entitlement: one must respect moral conditions and answer for one’s conduct before taking what one desires; ignoring rightful questioning brings immediate consequence.

At the lake in the Yakṣa episode, the Yakṣa warns Pārtha that drinking the water without first answering the Yakṣa’s questions will result in death, and urges him to respond rather than act impulsively.
