त॑ प्रदाय तु राजेन्द्र कुन्तिभोजमुवाच ह । उषितो5स्मि सुखं राजन् कन्यया परितोषित:,राजेन्द्र! पृथाको वह मन्त्र देकर ब्राह्मणने राजा कुन्तिभोजसे कहा--“राजन! मैं तुम्हारे घरमें तुम्हारी कन्याद्वारा सदा समादृत और संतुष्ट होकर बड़े सुखसे रहा हूँ। अब हम अपनी कार्यसिद्धिके लिये यहाँसे जायँगे। ऐसा कहकर वे ब्राह्मण वहीं अन्तर्धान हो गये
taṁ pradāya tu rājendra kuntibhojam uvāca ha | uṣito ’smi sukhaṁ rājan kanyayā paritoṣitaḥ |
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: Matapos itong maibigay, kinausap ng Brahmin si Haring Kuntibhoja: “O pinakamainam sa mga hari, O hari, namuhay akong masaya sa iyong tahanan, lubos na nasiyahan at pinarangalan dahil sa tapat na paglilingkod ng iyong anak na dalaga.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights gṛhastha-dharma: honoring and caring for a guest so well that the guest departs satisfied. The Brahmin’s declaration functions as ethical confirmation that the household’s conduct—especially the daughter’s attentive service—was righteous and worthy.
After the relevant handover (pradāya), the Brahmin addresses King Kuntibhoja, stating he lived comfortably and was fully satisfied due to the daughter’s service. In the surrounding narrative (as reflected in the Gītā Press context), the Brahmin then departs (even disappearing), marking the completion of his stay and the household’s successful fulfillment of guest-duty.
