इष्टो भक्तश्न मे कर्णो न चान्यद् दैवतं दिवि | जानीत इति वै कृत्वा भगवानाह मद्धितम्,आपको यह मालूम है कि कर्ण मेरा प्रिय भक्त है और वह स्वर्गके दूसरे किसी भी देवताको (अपने इष्टरूपमें नहीं जानता है, यही समझकर आप मुझे मेरे हितका उपदेश कर रहे हैं
iṣṭo bhaktaś ca me karṇo na cānyad daivataṃ divi | jānīta iti vai kṛtvā bhagavān āha mad-dhitam |
“Alam mo na si Karṇa ay minamahal mong deboto, at wala siyang kinikilalang ibang diyos sa langit bilang pinili niyang Panginoon. Sa pagkaalam nito, ang Mapalad na Panginoon ay nagsalita sa akin ng payong para sa aking ikabubuti.”

Karna (as the speaker) refers to a ‘Blessed One’ who, understanding Karna’s singular devotion and status as a favored devotee, addresses him with advice meant for his benefit—framing the ensuing counsel as compassionate and purposeful.
