Sūrya-stava: Dhaumya’s Counsel and the Aṣṭaśata-nāma of Sūrya

तथा त्वमपि धर्मात्मन्‌ कर्मणा च विशोधित: । तप आस्थाय धर्मेण द्विजातीन्‌ भर भारत,धर्मात्मा भारत! इसी प्रकार तुम भी सत्कर्मसे शुद्ध होकर तपस्याका आश्रय ले धर्मानुसार द्विजातियोंका भरण-पोषण करो

tathā tvam api dharmātman karmaṇā ca viśodhitaḥ | tapa āsthāya dharmeṇa dvijātīn bhara bhārata ||

O ikaw na may kaluluwang matuwid—ikaw man ay gayon din, na nalinis sa pamamagitan ng iyong mga gawa—kumapit sa tapas (pagpapakasakit at disiplina), at ayon sa dharma ay tulungan at buhayin ang mga “dalawang-ulit na isinilang” (dvija), O Bhārata!
