Sūrya’s Counsel to Karṇa on Kīrti and the Kuṇḍala
मार्गमिच्छामि सैन्यस्य दत्तं नदनदीपते । येन गत्वा दशग्रीवं हन्यां पौलस्त्यपांसनम्,“नद-नदीश्वर! मैं अपनी सेनाके लिये तुम्हारे द्वारा दिया हुआ मार्ग चाहता हूँ, जिससे जाकर पुलस्त्यकुलांगार दशमुख रावणको मार सकूँ
mārgam icchāmi sainyasya dattaṃ nadanadīpate | yena gatvā daśagrīvaṃ hanyāṃ paulastyapāṃsanam ||
Sinabi ni Mārkaṇḍeya: “O panginoon ng mga ilog at batis, hinihiling ko ang daang ipinagkaloob mo para sa aking hukbo—upang sa pagdaan doon ay mapabagsak ko si Daśagrīva (Rāvaṇa), ang salot ng angkan ni Pulastya.”
