Rāvaṇa–Mārīca Dialogue and the Decoy-Deer Prelude to Sītā’s Abduction
अयं त्वन्यो गुण: श्रेष्ठक्ष्युतानां स्वर्गतो मुने । शुभानुशययोगेन मनुष्येषूपजायते,मुने! परंतु वहाँसे भ्रष्ट हुए जीवोंका भी यह एक अन्य श्रेष्ठ गुण देखा जाता है कि वे अपने शुभ कर्मों-के संस्कारसे युक्त होनेके कारण मनुष्ययोनिमें ही जन्म पाते हैं
ayaṁ tv anyo guṇaḥ śreṣṭha-cyutānāṁ svargato mune | śubhānuśaya-yogena manuṣyeṣūpajāyate, mune ||
Wika ng banal na sugo: “O pantas, may isa pang dakilang tanda sa mga nahulog mula sa langit: sapagkat nananatili silang kaugnay ng mga bakas na nakabaon (saṃskāra) ng kanilang mabubuting gawa, sila’y isinisilang nang tanging sa lahing tao.”
देवदूत उवाच
Even if a being falls from heavenly enjoyment, the residual impressions (anuśaya/saṁskāra) of past virtuous actions remain effective; they steer the being toward a human birth, where moral choice and renewed spiritual striving are possible.
A divine messenger addresses a sage and explains a principle about post-heaven destiny: those who lose their heavenly status are not cast into random births; because of the lingering force of their good deeds, they are reborn among humans.
