जयद्रथ-निग्रहः — Jayadratha Restrained, Shamed, and Released
प्रवर्ततां यथान्यायं सर्वतो हरनिवारित: । “भारत! उसी हलसे आपके यज्ञमण्डपकी भूमि जोती जाय। नृपश्रेष्ठ) उस जोती हुई भूमिमें ही उत्तम संस्कारसे सम्पन्न
pravartatāṃ yathānyāyaṃ sarvato haranivāritaḥ |
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: “Hayaan itong magpatuloy ayon sa wastong tuntunin, na ang lahat ng panig ay napipigil upang walang makapang-agaw ng anumang nakalaan sa ritwal. O Bhārata, ipaararo mo ang lupa ng iyong bakuran ng yajña sa pamamagitan ng mismong ararong iyon; at, o pinakamainam sa mga hari, sa lupang naararo na yaon ay simulan ang handog na yajña nang nararapat—pinabanal sa tamang mga seremonya, sagana sa pagkain at inumin, at bukás para sa lahat.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Ritual action must align with dharma: it should be performed according to proper rule (yathā-nyāyam), without wrongful seizure or coercion (haranivāritaḥ), and with generous, inclusive hospitality—food and drink provided and access open to all.
Vaiśampāyana reports instructions for commencing a yajña: the sacrificial ground in the yajña-maṇḍapa is to be ploughed with the specified plough, and then the sacrifice is to be initiated on that prepared ground with correct consecrations and ample provisions, conducted in an orderly and publicly accessible manner.
