Draupadī’s Rebuke of Jayadratha and Dhaumya’s Admonition (Āraṇyaka-parva, Adhyāya 252)
यत्र हर्षस्त्वया कार्य: सत्कर्तव्याश्व पाण्डवा: । तत्र शोचसि राजेन्द्र विपरीतमिदं तव,राजेन्द्र! जहाँ तुम्हें हर्ष मनाना और पाण्डवोंका सत्कार करना चाहिये था वहाँ तुम शोक कर रहे हो। तुम्हारा यह व्यवहार तो उलटा ही है
yatra harṣas tvayā kāryaḥ satkartavyāś ca pāṇḍavāḥ | tatra śocasi rājendra viparītam idaṃ tava rājendra ||
Wika ni Vaiśampāyana: “O pinakamainam sa mga hari, sa lugar na dapat kang magalak at magbigay-galang sa mga Pāṇḍava, doon ka pa nagdadalamhati. Ang asal mong ito, O hari, ay kabaligtaran ng nararapat.”
