Educational Q&A

Public speech can become a moral weapon: when a powerful being voices words openly, it can expose pride and trigger consequences, reminding rulers that honor without restraint invites downfall.

Duryodhana refers to a moment when a Gandharva is audibly delivering a statement; the verse sets the scene for a tense exchange in which spoken words—heard and acknowledged—shape the unfolding confrontation.
