Draupadī Observed at the Kāmyaka Hermitage

Educational Q&A

Even in morally charged conflicts, effective leadership is shown through discipline, orderly arrangement, and care for logistical needs; the verse highlights competence and preparedness, while leaving the ethical evaluation to the broader narrative of Duryodhana’s intentions.

Duryodhana finds a convenient stopping place with access to fodder and water and orders his forces—elephants, horses, chariots, and infantry—to be stationed properly, establishing a well-organized halt during the forest episode.
