Daitya-āśvāsana of Duryodhana; Karṇa’s assurance and the mobilization of the Kaurava host
इति श्रीमहाभारते वनपर्वणि घोषयात्रापर्वणि दुर्योधनप्रस्थाने एकोनचत्वारिंशदधिकद्विशततमो<5 ध्याय:,इस प्रकार श्रीमह्ाभारत वनपर्वके अन्तर्गत घोषयात्रापर्वमें दुर्योधनप्रस्थानविषयक दो सौ उनतालीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti śrīmahābhārate vanaparvaṇi ghoṣayātrāparvaṇi duryodhanaprasthāne ekonacatvāriṃśadadhikadviśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ |
Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: “Sa gayon, sa Śrī Mahābhārata, sa Vana Parva, sa bahaging ‘Ghoṣa-yātrā’ (Paglalakbay para sa mga Baka), nagwakas ang kabanatang tumatalakay sa pag-alis ni Duryodhana—ito ang ika-239 na kabanata.” Inilalagay ng pangwakas na kolofon na ito ang tagpo sa mas malawak na balangkas-moral ng epiko: ang panlabas na pagpapakitang-lakas at layuning mang-udyok sa mga Pāṇḍava ni Duryodhana ay naitala bilang bahagi ng salaysay sa gubat, kung saan paulit-ulit na ipinakikitang ang pagmamataas at poot ay nagpapalalim sa adharma at nagpapabilis sa paglapit ng tunggalian.
