वनप्रस्थानम् (Departure for the Forest) — Āraṇyaka-parva, Adhyāya 24

त्वया हुपासिता नित्यं ब्राह्मणा भरतर्षभ । द्वैपायनप्रभूतयो नारदश्च॒ महातपा:,भरतश्रेष्ठी आपने सदा द्वैपायन आदि बहुत-से ब्राह्मणों तथा महातपस्वी नारदजीकी उपासना की है

tvayā hy upāsitā nityaṁ brāhmaṇā bharatarṣabha | dvaipāyanaprabhṛtayo nāradaś ca mahātapāḥ ||

O bantog sa angkan ng mga Bharata, lagi kang may debosyon at paglilingkod sa mga pantas na Brahmana—panguna na si Vyasa (Dvaipayana)—at gayundin sa dakilang ascetic na si Narada. Sa paggalang sa mga rishi, itinataguyod mo ang kaayusang dharma na nakasalig sa pagpapakumbaba, karunungan, at paggalang sa kapangyarihang espirituwal.
