Duryodhana Seized by Citraseṇa; Kaurava Petition to Yudhiṣṭhira (दुर्योधनापहारः / चित्रसेनगन्धर्वग्रहणम्)
|। तेषां प्रशमनं कार्य स्नान धूपमथाञ्जनम् | बलिकर्मोपहाराशक्ष् स्कन्दस्येज्याविशेषत:,स्नान, धूप, अज्जन, बलिकर्म, उपहार अर्पण तथा स्कन्ददेवकी विशेष पूजा करके इन स्कन्दग्रहोंकी शान्ति करनी चाहिये
teṣāṁ praśamanaṁ kāryaṁ snāna-dhūpam athāñjanam | bali-karmopahārāś ca skandasyejyā-viśeṣataḥ ||
Wika ni Mārkaṇḍeya: “Upang payapain ang mga puwersang iyon, dapat isagawa ang mga ritwal ng pagpapahinuhod—paliligo ayon sa seremonya, pag-aalay ng insenso, at pagpapahid ng pamahid na panangga; kasama ang mga handog na bali at iba pang alay. Lalo na, gawin ito sa pamamagitan ng natatanging pagsamba kay Skanda.”
