आरण्यकपर्वणि अध्यायः २१६ — इन्द्र-स्कन्द-संमुखता वज्रप्रहारश्च

Indra approaches Skanda; vajra strike and the arising of Viśākha

त्वया विनिकृता माता पिता च द्विजसत्तम | अनिसृष्टोडसि निष्क्रान्तो गृहात्‌ ताभ्यामनिन्दित

tvayā vinikṛtā mātā pitā ca dvijasattama | anisṛṣṭo 'si niṣkrānto gṛhāt tābhyām anindita ||

Wika ng mangangaso: “O pinakamahusay sa mga Brahmin, nagkasala ka sa iyong ina at ama. Nang hindi ka pa nila pinahihintulutan, lumabas ka ng bahay—bagaman ikaw ay walang dungis sa iyong kapanganakan. Sa dharma, ang pag-alis sa mga magulang nang walang pahintulot nila ay isang pagkukulang, sapagkat ang paglilingkod sa kanila ang pangunahing tungkulin.”
