अध्याय १९० — वामदेव-वाम्य-वृत्तान्तः
The Vāmadeva Horses Episode and the Ethics of Promise
एष धाता विधाता च संहर्ता चैव शाश्वत: । श्रीवत्सवक्षा गोविन्द: प्रजापतिपति: प्रभु:,श्रीवत्सचिह्न जिनके वक्ष:स्थलकी शोभा बढ़ाता है, वे भगवान् गोविन्द ही इस विश्वकी सृष्टि, पालन और संहार करनेवाले, सनातन प्रभु और प्रजापतियोंके भी पति हैं
eṣa dhātā vidhātā ca saṁhartā caiva śāśvataḥ | śrīvatsavakṣā govindaḥ prajāpati-patiḥ prabhuḥ ||
Wika ni Mārkaṇḍeya: “Siya lamang ang walang-hanggang Panginoon—ang Lumikha at Tagapag-ayos, at Siya rin ang Tagapagwasak. Si Govinda, na ang dibdib ay pinalalamutian ng tanda ng Śrīvatsa, ang kataas-taasang Pinuno, maging ng mga Prajāpati.”
