अध्याय १९० — वामदेव-वाम्य-वृत्तान्तः
The Vāmadeva Horses Episode and the Ethics of Promise
आखयातस्ते मया चात्मा दुर्जेयो हि सुरासुरै:,ब्रह्मर्ष! इस प्रकार मैंने तुम्हें अपने स्वरूपका उपदेश किया है, जिसका जानना देवता और असुरोंके लिये भी कठिन है। जबतक महातपस्वी भगवान् ब्रह्माका जागरण न हो, तबतक तुम श्रद्धा और विश्वासपूर्वक सुखसे विचरते रहो
ākhyātaste mayā cātmā durjeyo hi surāsuraiḥ, brahmarṣe |
Wika ng Diyos: “Ipinahayag Ko na ngayon sa iyo ang Aking tunay na kalikasan. Tunay na mahirap itong maunawaan—maging ng mga diyos at mga asura. Kaya, O brahmarṣi, hanggang sa magising sa kamalayan ang dakilang mapag-ascetang Panginoong Brahmā, magpatuloy kang mamuhay nang payapa, pinatatatag ng pananampalataya at pagtitiwala.”
