अध्याय १९० — वामदेव-वाम्य-वृत्तान्तः
The Vāmadeva Horses Episode and the Ethics of Promise
सम्यग् वेदमधीयाना यजन्ते विविधैर्मखै: । शान्तात्मानो जितक्रोधा: प्राप्रुवन्ति द्विजातय:,जो द्विजाति अच्छी तरह वेदोंका अध्ययन करके शान्तचित्त और क्रोधशून्य होकर नाना प्रकारके यज्ञोंद्वारा मेरी आराधना करते हैं, उन्हें ही मेरी प्राप्ति होती है
samyag vedam adhīyānā yajante vividhair makhaiḥ | śāntātmāno jitakrodhāḥ prāpnuvanti dvijātayaḥ ||
Wika ng Diyos: “Ang mga dvija—ang ‘dalawang ulit na isinilang’—na wasto ang pag-aaral sa Veda, payapa ang kalooban at napagtagumpayan ang galit, at sumasamba sa Akin sa pamamagitan ng sari-saring paghahandog na sakripisyo—sila ang nakaaabot sa Akin.”
