Sarasvatī–Tārkṣya Saṃvāda: Agnihotra-vidhi, Dāna-phala, and Mokṣa-prasaṅga (सरस्वती–तार्क्ष्यसंवादः)

Educational Q&A

The verse teaches the immediacy of rebirth: when life’s term ends and the worn body is abandoned, the being arises at once in another embodiment. There is no ‘in-between’ state; karmic continuity carries the person-stream forward without interruption.

Mārkaṇḍeya is instructing his listeners on the doctrine of transmigration, explaining how beings, shaped by accumulated good and bad actions, leave an aged body at death and immediately take birth in another womb, with no temporal gap between the two.
