Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the king’s reliance on righteous alliances and disciplined preparedness: legitimate power is strengthened when capable leaders and well-ordered forces stand ready to protect and fulfill just aims.

Vaiśampāyana informs the king that the Madhu/Yādava forces of the Mathurā region—commanded by Baladeva—are fully mobilized with the complete fourfold army (infantry, cavalry, chariots, elephants), prepared to fight to secure the king’s objectives.
