Nahūṣa as Ajagara: Virtue Hierarchy, Karmic Gati, and the Psychology of Mind–Intellect

तत्पश्चात्‌ कुबेरके प्रिय भूधर कैलाशको, जो श्वेत बादलोंके समान प्रकाशित हो रहा था, देखकर भरतकुलभूषण पाण्बुपुत्रोंकोी पुनः महान्‌ हर्ष प्राप्त हुआ ।। समुच्छूयान्‌ पर्वतसंनिरोधान्‌ गोष्ठान्‌ हरीणां गिरिसेतुमाला: बहून्‌ प्रपातांश्व॒ समीक्ष्य वीरा: स्थलानि निम्नानि च तत्र तत्र,नरश्रेष्ठ पाण्डव अपने हाथोंमें खड्ग और धनुष लिये हुए थे। वे ऊँचाई, पर्वतोंके सकरे स्थान, सिंहोंकी मादें, पर्वतीय नदियोंको पार करनेके लिये बने हुए पुल, बहुत-से झरने और नीची भूमियोंको जहाँ-तहाँ देखते हुए तथा मृग, पक्षी एवं हाथियोंसे सेवित दूसरे-दूसरे विशाल वनोंका अवलोकन करते हुए विश्वासपूर्वक आगे बढ़ने लगे

tataḥ paścāt kubera-priyaṃ bhūdharaṃ kailāsaṃ yaḥ śveta-bādalaiḥ samānaḥ prakāśamānaḥ dṛṣṭvā bharata-kula-bhūṣaṇān pāṇḍu-putrān punaḥ mahān harṣaḥ prāptaḥ || samucchritān parvata-saṃnirodhān goṣṭhān harīṇāṃ giri-setu-mālāḥ bahūn prapātāṃś ca samīkṣya vīrāḥ sthālāni nimnāni ca tatra tatra || narāśreṣṭhāḥ pāṇḍavāḥ kara-śastreṣu khaḍga-dhanur-dharāḥ viśvāsena agre jagmuḥ, mṛga-pakṣi-gaja-sevitāni anyonya-vipulāni vanāni ca vilokayan |

Pagkaraan nito, nang makita nila ang Bundok Kailāsa—minamahal ni Kubera—na kumikislap na tila mapuputing ulap, ang mga anak ni Pāṇḍu, palamuti ng angkan ng Bharata, ay muling napuspos ng dakilang galak. May hawak na tabak at busog, ang mga bayaning iyon ay sumulong nang may matatag na tiwala, minamasdan dito’t doon ang matataas na pook, masisikip na lagusan ng bundok, mga kawan ng usa, mga hanay ng tulay sa kabundukan upang tawirin ang mga batis, maraming talon, at mga mabababang lupain; at siniyasat nila ang sunod-sunod na malalawak na gubat na dinadalaw ng mga hayop, ibon, at elepante.
