The verse primarily conveys a narrative-aesthetic point: extraordinary beauty and abundance can be expressed through comparison with a divine standard (Kubera’s wealth). Implicitly, it highlights how sensory splendor can signal an exceptional, possibly supernatural or royal, environment—inviting discernment about appearances and the sources of prosperity.
Vaiśampāyana describes the scene being encountered: magnificent recreational grounds, adorned with colorful garlands and scattered with gems, so visually enchanting that they seem like the domain of Kubera, the lord of wealth.
