Indraloka-gamana

य॑ं प्राप्प सविता राजन्‌ सत्येन प्रतितिष्ठति । अस्तं पर्वतराजानमेतमाहुर्मनीषिण:

yaṁ prāpya savitā rājan satyena prati tiṣṭhati | astaṁ parvatarājānam etam āhur manīṣiṇaḥ | astaṁ prāpya tataḥ sandhyām atikramya divākaraḥ | udīcīṁ bhajate kāṣṭhāṁ diśam eṣa vibhāvasuḥ |

Sinabi ni Vaiśampāyana: «O Hari! Ang bundok na yaong pinagtitindigan ng Araw sa pamamagitan ng katotohanan, tinatawag ng mga pantas na ‘Asta’, ang hari ng mga bundok. Pagdating sa kanlurang pook ng paglubog at paglagpas sa hangganan ng dapithapon, ang maningning na Diwākara ay bumabaling sa hilagang dako. Pagkaraan, alang-alang sa kapakanan ng lahat ng nilalang, sinusundan ng Panginoong Araw ang Meru hanggang sa sukdulang hilaga, at muling nagpapatuloy na nakaharap sa silangan.»
